Make Something Monday: Link Party #68

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

Hi everyone!  Thank you for being patient while I took a little break to spend time with my family for the Holidays!  We had a great Christmas!  I hope you all had a great Christmas, New Year's, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah or Winter Break, too!

This week I'm doing somthing a little different.  I'm still featuring some of my faves from the previous link party...but I'm extending this one until the end of January!  I'll be checking up on the party to see what people are posting...and trying to pick some of my faves...but I won't be posting those results until Monday, February 4th, 2013.

I'm doing the party this way this month because tomorrow I am having surgery.  I'm having a hysterectomy.  I've been dealing with some painful feminine issues for a long time.  It's something that I've needed to do for a long time, but you know how these things go...It's been a hard decision to make, even though my hubby and I feel like our family is complete. I'm having the procedure done laparoscopically, which should mean a much shorted recovery time!  Yay!  It will be so nice to feel better, and to be a better wife and mommy!

Anyway, because of that I'm going to take a little break and get myself better before I jump back into blogging!

OK...now onto the party!

We had so many fun links at the last party!  Here are just a few of my favorites:

These Chinese Chai Cookies, by Alyson of Wine & Plum, look soooooo yummy!  I love spiced cookies like ginger snaps and snickerdoodles, and can't wait to try these out! (Or rather, have my hubby make them for me...since he is the better baker in the family!)

I think these lovely Paint Dipped Pinecones, by Sarah from Alderberry Hill, are a great wintery decor item...not just for Christmas!  So pretty!

And this Reclaimed Wood Coat Rack, by Kristy from Shona Skye Creations, is awesome!  I NEED something like this in my house!!

Now onto this week!

Here's a little reminder of the 'rules!'

  • Please link to a specific blog post...not to your main page or shop!

  • Limit yourself to three links per week!

  • Be sure to spread the love and leave a comment on someone else's project!

Please know that I retain the right to delete any link which I feel violate the above conditions!

Thanks so much for joining me each week!   The party is open through January 31st! Let's see what's new!

Hi, Sarah! Thank you so much

Hi, Sarah! Thank you so much for featuring my coat rack today! I'm all smiles! I took a few weeks off for the holidays, so I don't have a project to link this week, but I'll be back at the next party!

Have a great one!
Kristy

Aww Sarah, sorry to hear that

Aww Sarah, sorry to hear that you're having a hysterectomy. Take it from someone who knows...you'll feel so much better after you've recovered. I had to have one when I was 30 and I had planned on more children but that wasn't in the cards for me... I have one daughter who is the light of my life and feel very blessed. I won't lie, it was painful for a few days but no more "women issues" once I fully recovered. So worth that! I hope all goes well and you recover quickly! Take care.

Thanks!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I feel so blessed to have my wonderful kids and husband...and I'm looking forward to being able to take better care of them! Your daughter is a very blessed girl to have a Mama like you!
