Great Idea: Crochet Planned Color Pooling

I came across this really cool technique a while ago, and wanted to share some of the projects I made using the Planned Color Pooling technique!

I had no idea that you could use many of the awesome variegated yarn colorways out there to make patterns in your finished projects, without haveing to manually change colors and weave in ends!

Most of the example I have seen use the Moss Stitch or Linen Stitch to get the right amount of stitches to make an argyle pattern form in your projects...but I have also seen some projects with shell stitches, too!

Things to Make: Granny's Flower Garden - Granny Square Pattern

As promised I'm sharing my Granny's Flower Garden Granny Square pattern today!

(This is the same pattern I used on the Mint and Coral blanket I shared last week!

I really wanted to use the mint and coral colors in an afghan, but I couldn't find a pattern that I really loved.

So, a couple of weeks ago, after trying a couple of other things out, I came up with this pretty Granny Square pattern!)

What's New: Mint and Coral - Granny's Flower Garden Afghan

Today I wanted to share my finished mint and coral

Granny's Flower Garden afghan today!

I wrote the pattern for the square myself, and I'm getting it ready to share very soon!

I know you'll like it!

I just love how these colors came together! So pretty!

I'm sooooo excited to share this pattern with you guys! It turned out so nice!

Pinterest Inspiration: Mint and Coral Color Inspiriation

Today I wanted to share a pretty palette I've been crushing on! Sometimes when I'm wandering around on Pinterest, I come across a color scheme that I just LOVE! (I often use color schemes I find on Pinterest as inspiration when I'm making afghans and scarves.)

I found this picture a bit ago, and it inspired me to crochet a baby blanket. (I came up with a Flower Granny Square variation on my own and will be posting a pattern for it in the near future!)

He Lives!

"What praises can we offer

To thank thee, Lord most high?

In our place thou didst suffer;

In out place thou didst die,

By heaven's plan appointed,

To ransom us, our King.

O Jesus, the annointed,

To thee our love we bring!"

Happy Easter!
